Features
The first joint transnational calls for proposals under the future BrainHealth partnership have been published.
The goal of these calls for proposals is to promote research into the biological, social, and environmental factors that influence brain health over the course of a person’s life; there are two calls for proposals.
- EP BrainHealth Call 1: Focused on Neurological, Mental, and Sensory Disorders
- EP BrainHealth Call 2: Focused on the Field of Neurodegeneration
These calls for proposals are co-financed by the European Union and involve more than 30 countries and more than 35 funding organizations.
In addition, the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) participates in these calls for proposals as the national funding agency.
Requirements
Proposals must be interdisciplinary and address at least two of the three factors listed below:

Biological factors, e.g., genetics, epigenetics, -omics, neuroplasticity, inflammation, infection, synaptogenesis, neural circuits, vascular factors, sensory impairment, comorbidities.
