Healthcare Innovation and Product Platform (I.T.SAL)
The Innovation and Healthcare Products Platform (I.T.SAL) is the service that supports and assists IBSAL researchers in transforming their research findings into concrete improvements for public health. It is also responsible for the industrial and intellectual property protection of these findings.
Transfer actions
- Define with the research staff the most appropriate intellectual property protection strategy in each case.
- Prepare reports and dossiers on the state of the art of the innovative ideas communicated by the research staff.
- Review and negotiation of confidentiality agreements (CDA), research collaboration agreements, co-ownership agreements, agreements and licenses with third parties of research personnel.
- Transfer and commercialization of research results.
- Presentation and dissemination of the institute's technological offerings.
Actions to promote innovation
- Facilitate the connection between basic and clinical research to promote translation.
- Search and presentation of grants, calls for proposals and potential partners for collaborative R&D agreements and European consortia.
- Identification of public/private funding to increase value, license and/or bring to market the developments and innovations of research personnel.
- Support and advice on participation in entrepreneurial projects.
- Promoting the innovative culture in the institute through training actions, workshops, seminars and activities that foster the creation of synergies among research personnel and improve their competitiveness.
Innovation diffusion actions
- Actions to disseminate and communicate the innovations and scientific knowledge generated at the institute, highlighting the results of the research and innovations carried out by the research staff.
- To give social visibility to the projects and innovations developed by the institute's research groups.
- Promote the scientific dissemination to society of the innovations carried out at the institute, committing ourselves to responsible research and innovation (RRI).
