Cookie Policy
In compliance with Law 34/2002 of July 11 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, we hereby inform you that this website uses cookies to improve and optimize the user experience.
The purpose of this cookie policy is to provide Users with clear and precise information about the cookies used on the IBSAL website.
What are cookies?
A “cookie” is a small data file that is downloaded to the User’s device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when accessing certain websites, in order to store and retrieve information about the User’s browsing activity on that device.
These files are stored on the User’s computer and contain anonymous data that does not harm the User’s device. They are used to remember the User’s preferences, such as the selected language, login information, or website customization. Cookies can also be used to record anonymous information about how a visitor uses a website. For example, which website the visitor came from, or whether they clicked on an advertising banner to reach the site.
Types and Purposes of Cookies
Depending on which entity manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and how the data obtained as a result is processed, two types can be distinguished: first-party cookies, which are those sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided; and third-party cookies, which are those sent to the user’s device from a server or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but rather by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
There is also a second classification according to the length of time they remain stored in the customer’s browser, being session cookies (those temporary cookies that are deleted when the browser is closed) or persistent cookies (those that remain in the browser until they are deleted).
Finally, there is another classification that identifies five types of cookies based on the purpose for which the data collected is processed: technical cookies, personalization cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, and behavioral advertising cookies.
For more information on this subject, please refer to the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s Guide on the Use of Cookies: https://www.aepd.es/guias/guia-cookies.pdf.
