The First Conference on Respiratory Care for Adults with Cerebral Palsy will be held in Salamanca on Friday, March 20, starting at 9:30 a.m., organized by ASPACE Salamanca in collaboration with the Salamanca Institute for Biomedical Research (IBSAL), as part of the IBSAL 2024 Grant Program, specifically the call for proposals for IBSAL Research Dissemination Projects to the public and the University of Salamanca (USAL).
The event can be attended in person at the Auditorium of the School of Nursing and Physical Therapy at the University of Salamanca (C/ Donantes de sangre s/n). It will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to last 3 hours. For those unable to attend in person, a link will be provided so they can join online (see attached program).
The main objective of this conference is to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary perspective on the respiratory care needed by people with cerebral palsy. To this end, we will be joined by professionals in medicine, nursing, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, and music therapy who have extensive experience in caring for this population. In this way, we will take a comprehensive approach to addressing the respiratory needs of people with cerebral palsy.
In addition, we will present the book titled“Respiratory Care for Adults with Cerebral Palsy, ”recently published by “Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca,” which will be available free of charge to anyone interested. This book is a guide written in simple language, designed for both professionals and families who wish to learn more about this topic, and we hope it will become a useful reference for improving their intervention strategies in the respiratory care of people with cerebral palsy.
Sign up using the registration form. A certificate of attendance will be provided.
