Update on Gender-Based Violence for Healthcare Professionals
Objective:
To train healthcare professionals to assess potential victims of gender-based violence in a hospital setting and to raise awareness of the resources available for comprehensive care.
Specific objectives:
Understand the concept of gender-based violence, its determinants, causal factors, patterns, and possible courses of action.
Understand the ethical and legal considerations, as well as the social and health resources available in VG
Distribute the SACYL clinical guidelines, the CAUSA protocol, and the BPSO guidelines on abuse of women.
Develop the skills and abilities needed to identify cases of gender-based violence and provide an effective response.

In order to successfully complete the course and receive the relevant certificate, it is necessary to complete 80% of the total program.
