Through the research grant in the field of childhood leukemia will fund a research project on childhood leukemia, with a grant of €100,000, to be carried out under the supervision of a principal investigator at a Spanish institution.

The project will last 2 years, beginning in October 2025 and October 2027.

Requirements for applicants:

  • Be a Spanish citizen or have been conducting research in Spain for at least five years.
  • Be included in one of the following categories:
    • Be a pediatrician and a full member of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.
    • Be a physician specializing in hematology and have completed a specific postgraduate training program in pediatric hematology lasting at least four years.
    • Hold a bachelor’s degree in biology, pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, mathematics, computer science, among others, and demonstrate at least 6 years of postgraduate training or affiliation with a hospital or research group focused on childhood leukemia.
  • Submit a project that:
    • Proposals should address a topic of the applicant’s choice related to childhood leukemia; special consideration will be given to transnational projects with clear applications for children suffering from this disease.
    • It must be original, unpublished, and not funded by any other public or private entity, nor have it received any awards.
