Objective

The University of Salamanca is offering, on a competitive basis, 27 research assistantships at its research institutes and university-affiliated centers

These scholarships are intended to encourage students to begin engaging in research related to their current studies and to facilitate the future professional or research careers of students enrolled at the University of Salamanca during the 2026/2027 academic year who are about to complete their undergraduate degree or are currently enrolled in the first year of an official master’s program.

Amount

The amount of each scholarship is 2,000 euros, paid in a single installment, which will be deposited into the bank account number provided for this purpose. Receipt of this scholarship does not exempt the recipient from paying the public fees for academic services.

Scholarship payments will be made from budget line 18.02.39.324M.D.07 of the University of Salamanca’s budget, up to a maximum of 54,000 euros.

Duration and Commitment

The collaboration will last seven and a half months from the start date indicated in the Resolution and will require three hours of on-site work per day, in accordance with the terms set forth in the collaboration proposal submitted.

Incompatibilities

These scholarships are incompatible with any other scholarship or financial aid awarded for the current academic year by public or private organizations for the same or a similar purpose, as well as with any contractual compensation that would prevent the fulfillment of the obligations.

They will be compatible with the general scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year offered by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports for college students, as well as with academic excellence programs.

Applications

The application must be completed using the form available on the University of Salamanca’s Online Portal, by logging in with any of the authentication methods listed in the following online procedure (including IdUsal):

https://sede.usal.es/procedimientos?param1=BECOIN

The applicant must ensure that the process is completed correctly and download the registered receipt. The process is complete when the following message appears on the online portal: “Process completed. You have completed all your tasks. Applications that do not complete the established submission process will not be considered. Applicants must obtain the application receipt, which must be retained to prove, if necessary, that the application was submitted within the established time frame and in the prescribed manner.

If the same person submits more than one scholarship application, only the most recent one will be processed.

No changes to the application will be accepted after the application deadline has passed.

Applicants may apply to a maximum of three different high schools or schools.

Submission of the application implies acceptance of the terms and conditions of the call for applications and, specifically, authorization for the publication of the provisional and final lists of candidates for the process, including their grade point averages and the score awarded to the collaborative project, as well as the location where the work will be performed and the amount of the grant awarded, in accordance with the provisions of the regulations governing grants and the regulations on the protection of personal data.
