Beneficiaries
The Mutual Médica Foundation, through the Impulsar(me) program, is announcing a new call for applications for the Mutual Médica Research Grant, intended for resident physicians who are in their final year or who have completed their residency within the last three years. The research must have potential applications in clinical practice.
Requirements
• The candidate must be a physician and a member of one of the Official Medical Associations in Spain.
• At the time of applying for the scholarship, the candidate must be in their final year of residency, or must have completed residency this year or in one of the three preceding years, from 2022 to 2024.
• The research proposal must include the title of the project, the name of the fellow, the primary and secondary objectives, the research hypothesis, the materials and methodology to be used, as well as the relevance and potential clinical implications of the research.
• The work must be completed within a maximum of two years from the date the first grant was awarded.
• Members of the Board of Directors of Mutual Médica and the Board of Trustees of the Mutual Médica Foundation, as well as their family members, are not eligible for the scholarship.
Funding
The scholarship is worth €25,000, which the Mutual Médica Foundation will award to the winner. The scholarship funds will be disbursed in three installments:
» €9,000 upon awarding the scholarship,
» €9,000 after six months, and then
» €6,000 upon completion of the project, with a maximum time limit of 2 years from the award of the scholarship.
» The remaining €1,000 will be paid to the project director.
— The scholarship may be declared void.
— The scholarship jury may award up to two runner-up prizes of €5,000 each.
— The Mutual Médica Scholarship is not incompatible with other types of funding for the completion of the project.
— The scholarship will be awarded on November 27, 2025, and will be presented by the president of the Mutual Médica Foundation.
Rules for Participation
To be eligible for the grant, the research physician must submit the following documentation:
• Application for participation: Please fill out the form available at www.fundacionmutualmedica.com.
• Copy of your ID card.
• A certificate from the Director of Labor attesting to the candidate’s qualifications, stating the Director’s commitment to monitor the candidate’s progress, and verifying that the work can be completed within a
two-year period.
• A certificate from the director of the center or institution where the research is to be conducted, confirming acceptance of the proposed work and stating that the technical capabilities necessary for its completion are available.
• A document from the Clinical Research Ethics Committee of the relevant accrediting institution stating its approval, if the study involves the participation of patients.
• Resume.
• Research Project.

The deadline for submitting documentation is September 30, 2025.
• Copies of the duly signed originals of the Certificate from the Director of Labor, the Certificate from the Center Director, and the Ethics Committee Document must be provided.
