Call for proposals to fund expenses related to publication in open-access journals in 2027 by IBSAL research staff, with the aim of ensuring greater dissemination, visibility, and impact of the scientific results generated at the Institute.
Funding for 14 grants of up to €2,500 each to support the publication of open-access articles in 2027.
The article submitted for review must meet the following requirements:
- Open Access articles published or accepted for publication in 2026.
- At least one of the lead authors must be a member of the IBSAL research group
- Articles must be published in journals included in the JCR (Q1, Q2)
- Articles must be original works or systematic reviews
The applicant research group must meet the following requirements:
- The research group for which funding is requested must have, as of the date of the application, an active competitive project or active clinical trials managed through IBSAL.
- The research group applying for this grant must account for 50% or more of the affiliations listed in the IBSAL 2025 scientific report .
- If an article is submitted by more than one group, in the case of shared lead authorship, one of the groups will be given the option to withdraw the submission; if there is a disagreement, the article will be excluded from all submissions.
Documents to submit:
- Application form with the group leader’s approval (Appendix I)
- Copy of the manuscript published in 2026
- If the article has not yet been published, you must submit the journal’s letter of acceptance along with the draft manuscript.
