Purpose
A competitive call for applications is being issued for public grants, the purpose of which is to conduct original and unpublished feminist research, as well as to promote applied research in this field.
Beneficiaries
Public universities established and recognized in accordance with Article 4.1.a) of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System, may apply for and receive the grants covered by this call for proposals.
Scope
Projects must fall within one of the following thematic areas, which are based on the pillars of the Third Strategic Plan for Effective Equality Between Women and Men:
- Sexual Harassment and Harassment Based on Sex in the Workplace
- Governance, Political Participation, and Public Action
- Work, shared responsibility, care coordination, and economic participation for equality
- Globalization, International Cooperation, Migration, and Human Rights
- Climate Change and Equality
- Women, Technology, and Gender Equality in the Digital World
- Participation and Equality in Culture
- Women’s Health
- Sexual and Reproductive Rights
- Education in Equality, Coeducation, and Sports
- Areas other than those listed above
Amount
Funding for the Feminist Research projects under this call for proposals will be provided from budget line 30.101.232B.457.01 in the amount of €770,000 (seven hundred seventy thousand euros) from the current expenditure budget of the Women’s Institute, Budget Line for the year 2026.
The above amount will be distributed among the selected projects, and the amount allocated to each project may not exceed 25,000 euros.
Project Duration
Projects for which a grant is requested must begin after January 1, 2026, and be completed by December 31, 2027; the final research report must be submitted by the deadline of January 31, 2028.
Research projects for which a grant is requested may not have been published prior to the decision on the call for proposals.

- The application period runs from April 15, 2026, through April 28, 2026.
