SUMMARY:Grant for Feminist Research (2026) / Public Universities / INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN
DESCRIPTION:Purpose\nA competitive call for applications is being issued for public grants\, the purpose of which is to conduct original and unpublished feminist research\, as well as to promote applied research in this field. \n  \nBeneficiaries\nPublic universities established and recognized in accordance with Article 4.1.a) of Organic Law 2/2023\, of March 22\, on the University System\, may apply for and receive the grants covered by this call for proposals. \n  \nScope\nProjects  must fall within one of the following thematic areas\, which are based on the pillars of the Third Strategic Plan for Effective Equality Between Women and Men:   \n\nSexual Harassment and Harassment Based on Sex in the Workplace\nGovernance\, Political Participation\, and Public Action\nWork\, shared responsibility\, care coordination\, and economic participation for equality\nGlobalization\, International Cooperation\, Migration\, and Human Rights\nClimate Change and Equality\nWomen\, Technology\, and Gender Equality in the Digital World\nParticipation and Equality in Culture\nWomen’s Health\nSexual and Reproductive Rights\nEducation in Equality\, Coeducation\, and Sports\nAreas other than those listed above\n\n\n  \nAmount\nFunding for the Feminist Research projects under this call for proposals will be provided from budget line 30.101.232B.457.01 in the amount of €770\,000 (seven hundred seventy thousand euros) from the current expenditure budget of the Women’s Institute\, Budget Line for the year 2026. \nThe above amount will be distributed among the selected projects\, and the amount allocated to each project may not exceed 25\,000 euros. \n  \nProject Duration\nProjects for which a grant is requested must begin after January 1\, 2026\, and be completed by December 31\, 2027; the final research report must be submitted by the deadline of January 31\, 2028. \nResearch projects for which a grant is requested may not have been published prior to the decision on the call for proposals. \n  \nApplications\n\nThe application period runs from April 15\, 2026\, through April 28\, 2026.\nApplications must be submitted through the Ministry of Equality’s online portal at https://igualdad.sede.gob.es\n\n  \nDocumentation\n\nResolution of April 10\, 2026\, issued by the Directorate of the Institute for Women\, announcing the call for applications for public grants to fund feminist research for the year 2026\nExcerpt from the Resolution of April 10\, 2026\, issued by the Directorate of the Women’s Institute\, announcing the call for applications for public grants to fund feminist research for the year 2026\n\nRegulatory framework: \n\nOrder IGD/1299/2025\, dated November 3\, establishing the regulatory framework for the awarding of competitive grants by the Institute for Women\, O.A.\, in the university sector\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
