In-Person Course: 11th Meeting of Residents of the Castile-León and Cantabria Society of Internal Medicine
Objective:
To improve knowledge of the diagnostic and therapeutic management of diseases treated by specialists in internal medicine.
Specific objectives:
Review the basic guidelines and become familiar with the key parameters to monitor in patients who require noninvasive mechanical ventilation
A systematic approach to selecting empirical antibiotic therapy for a patient with a suspected infection
Integrate clinical ultrasound into the management of patients at suspected risk for disease-related malnutrition, malnutrition, and sarcopenia.
Identify the indications for implanting a continuous glucose monitoring device, as well as how to interpret the information it provides
Using an open-ended clinical case as a starting point, develop an appropriate differential diagnosis that allows for the optimization and efficient use of available resources.
