DESCRIPTION:In-Person Course: 11th Meeting of Residents of the Castile-León and Cantabria Society of Internal Medicine \nObjective: \nTo improve knowledge of the diagnostic and therapeutic management of diseases treated by specialists in internal medicine. \nSpecific objectives: \nReview the basic guidelines and become familiar with the key parameters to monitor in patients who require noninvasive mechanical ventilation \nA systematic approach to selecting empirical antibiotic therapy for a patient with a suspected infection \nIntegrate clinical ultrasound into the management of patients at suspected risk for disease-related malnutrition\, malnutrition\, and sarcopenia. \nIdentify the indications for implanting a continuous glucose monitoring device\, as well as how to interpret the information it provides \nUsing an open-ended clinical case as a starting point\, develop an appropriate differential diagnosis that allows for the optimization and efficient use of available resources. \nDate: \nFriday\, May 30\, 2025. \nLocation: \nDioscorides Building\, School of Biology\, Salamanca \nProgram: \n39th Congress of the Castile-León and Cantabria Society of Internal Medicine \nEnrollment:   \n(NOTE: HUS personnel not affiliated to IBSAL are advised to register through the GESTION@ training application). \nThe deadline for pre-registration is May 16\, 2025\, and you must register individually through this website. \nIn order to successfully complete the course and receive the relevant certificate\, it is necessary to complete 80% of the total program. \nPlease note that you will only be considered enrolled in the course once you receive the confirmation email\, as space is limited. \nMethod of selection: \nEnrollment in the course will be carried out in strict order of enrollment (in courses with high demand\, preference will be given to IBSAL personnel)\, according to the agreement of the IBSAL Training Commission.
