The Pfizer Foundation launches the Scientific Innovation Award which aims to recognize Spanish researchers up to age 40 (as of 2024) whose work has been published in scientific journals and cited in the Science Citation Index published throughout 2024 and which, in the jury’s opinion, is the best article related to scientific research, in its basic and clinical categories, in the field of biomedicine and the health sciences, primarily that they have demonstrated innovative use of technologies, advanced statistical techniques, or the application of new digital techniques to advance scientific knowledge in the field of human health.

Candidate Requirements:
Candidates for the awards must be Spanish researchers Spanish researchers aged 40 or younger (as of 2024) whose work has been published in scientific journals and cited in the Science Citation Index throughout 2024.
The research must have been conducted at public or private Spanish institutions. Research conducted at Spanish institutions in collaboration with foreign institutions will also be accepted. The principal investigator’s institution must be Spanish. Particular emphasis will be placed on the future applicability of the results published in the articles and the innovative approach of the research conducted.
