The recipient receives a free one-year IMS membership. The host institution must be different from the home institution and provide a substantial change in the research environment.  <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>The researcher must be working in the field of multiple myeloma and must also meet the requirements related to professional experience and mobility.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Degree: MD (Medicine) or PhD (Doctorate). Candidates currently pursuing a doctoral degree focused on plasma cell disorders will also be considered. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Career stage: You should not yet be an independent researcher.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Future career path: You must intend to pursue a career in the field of plasma cell disorders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Previous funding: Applicants must not have received funding from the U.S. NIH or its international equivalent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Employment Relationship with the Host Institution: You cannot already have an employment contract with the laboratory that will host you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Change of institution: The research must be conducted at an institution other than the researcher\u2019s home institution and involve a substantial change in the research environment. Changes between laboratories within the same institution or between laboratories located in the same metropolitan area are not permitted. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>IMS Membership: The principal investigator at the home institution or the host institution must be an IMS member.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Limit per laboratory: Each host laboratory may submit a maximum of one application per cycle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We especially encourage nominations of women and members of underrepresented minorities.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">How to apply<\/h3>\n<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"3363\" data-end=\"3386\">The application must be completed in English. The following documentation is required: <\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3389\" data-end=\"3581\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1wlwllj\" data-start=\"3389\" data-end=\"3427\">Official application form. It must be completed and approved by the institution. <\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1wlwllj\" data-start=\"3389\" data-end=\"3427\">Research proposal, bibliographic references, the candidate&#8217;s resume, letters of support from the home institution and the host laboratory, and a budget and justification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications are submitted through the <a href=\"https:\/\/myelomasociety.flexigrant.com\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">IMS Grant Management System<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The call for applications for 2027 is now open, and the deadline is January 29,
