{"id":27815,"date":"2026-10-08T18:47:21","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T16:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=27815"},"modified":"2026-10-08T18:47:56","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T16:47:56","slug":"juan-de-la-cierva-grants-2025-2","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/en\/evento\/juan-de-la-cierva-grants-2025-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Juan de la Cierva Grants 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Call for Proposals Summary<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The State Research Agency is offering 500 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aei.gob.es\/convocatorias\/buscador-convocatorias\/ayudas-contratos-juan-cierva-2026\">grants<\/a> to encourage young people who hold a Ph.D. to complete their <strong>postdoctoral research training<\/strong> at Spanish R&#038;D centers.<\/p>\n<p>The total budget for this call for proposals is <strong>\u20ac61,050,000<\/strong>, of which the following amounts will be allocated for each grant:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>35,700\u20ac\/year<\/strong> to co-finance the salaries and employer Social Security contributions for the hired individuals (the minimum compensation to be received by the hired individuals will be 31,200\u20ac per year).<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u20ac15,000 to <\/strong>cover the JDC researcher\u2019s expenses, preferably for national and international mobility activities. It may also be used for other activities directly related to the conduct of the researcher\u2019s research. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Requirements<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Requirements for applicants:<\/p>\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<p>The following entities with their own legal personality may apply for and receive the grants, provided they are validly incorporated and have tax residency or a permanent establishment in Spain, and are authorized to hire employees:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Public Research Organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Public universities, their university institutes, and private universities with proven capacity and experience in R&#038;D&#038;I.<\/li>\n<li>Public and private nonprofit healthcare organizations and institutions that are affiliated with or have agreements with the National Health System and that conduct R&#038;D&#038;I activities.<\/li>\n<li>Accredited health research institutes.<\/li>\n<li>State-level Technology Centers and State-level Technology Innovation Support Centers.<\/li>\n<li>Other public R&#038;D&#038;I centers, with their own legal personality, whose articles of incorporation, governing regulations, or corporate purpose specify R&#038;D&#038;I as their primary activity.<\/li>\n<li>Private, nonprofit R&#038;D&#038;I centers with their own legal personality that define R&#038;D&#038;I as their primary activity in their bylaws, in the regulations governing them, or in their corporate purpose.<\/li>\n<li>Public agricultural and food research centers of the Autonomous Communities, which are part of the INIA (CSIC)-CCAA system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Applications must be submitted by the <strong>R&#038;D center to which the participating individual\u2019s supervising researcher is affiliated<\/strong>, and the following requirements must be met:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A single person may be listed as a participant in only one R&#038;D Center application.<\/li>\n<li>A supervising researcher may only be listed as such on a single application. A supervisor is defined as the person who will be directly responsible for supervising and guiding the participant\u2019s professional development. <\/li>\n<li>A person who has served as a mentor in an application submitted for the 2025 call for Juan de la Cierva grants and who has been disqualified due to falsification or similar circumstances in the documentation regarding the mentor\u2014submitted for the evaluation process\u2014may not serve as a mentor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_titulo_segundo_nivel\">Candidate requirements:<\/div>\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<p><strong>Participants<\/strong> must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a <strong>doctoral degree<\/strong> obtained on a date between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2026. The earlier deadline of January 1, 2024, may be extended if, between the date the doctoral degree was awarded and the deadline for completing the application form, any of the situations indicated in the call for applications (temporary disability, leave for pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, etc.) and that have affected research activity. For applicants participating in the category for people with disabilities, the date of obtaining the doctoral degree must fall between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2026; extensions may also be granted for justified periods of inactivity.  <\/li>\n<li>Apply to join an R&#038;D center other than the one where you completed your pre-doctoral training.<\/li>\n<li>Not having submitted an application for the Ram\u00f3n y Cajal grants, for the 2026 call for applications, by the deadline for submitting applications for these grants.<\/li>\n<li>Not having been a recipient of funding from previous calls for proposals under the Juan de la Cierva, Postdoctoral Training, Juan de la Cierva-Training, or Juan de la Cierva-Incorporation programs. A \u201crecipient\u201d of these programs is defined as any person named in any of the award decisions from previous calls for proposals for these programs, regardless of whether or not they ultimately joined the R&#038;D Center. <\/li>\n<li>If you were an applicant for the 2025 Juan de la Cierva grant program:\n<ul>\n<li>The application must have received a score of 50 points or higher.<\/li>\n<li>The application must not have been rejected on the grounds of false information or similar circumstances in the documentation regarding the participant that was submitted for the evaluation process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Compatibility<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Individuals hired under these grants may provide supplementary assistance with teaching duties, either at their own institution or at other institutions, for a maximum of 100 hours per year, at their own request and with the approval of their institution, while complying, where applicable, with current regulations regarding conflicts of interest for personnel employed by public administrations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Applications<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The deadline for <strong>participants<\/strong> to <strong>complete and sign<\/strong> the electronic application form will be from November 12, 2026, to   <strong>November 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, applications for participation will be submitted by the <strong>R&#038;D centers<\/strong> through the online application, which will be available starting<strong> <\/strong>November 12, 2026, <strong>through December 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. <\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Applications for participation are submitted by R&#038;D centers, which include the names of the participants to be added to the research teams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Applications for participation must be submitted by R&#038;D centers through the electronic channels provided for this purpose on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciencia.gob.es\/Servicios\/sede_electronica.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Secretariat for R&#038;D&#038;I\u2019s Electronic Portal.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">More information<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Link to the call for applications:  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aei.gob.es\/convocatorias\/buscador-convocatorias\/ayudas-contratos-juan-cierva-2026\">https:\/\/www.aei.gob.es\/convocatorias\/buscador-convocatorias\/ayudas-contratos-juan-cierva-2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Call for Proposals Summary The State Research Agency is offering 500 grants to encourage young people who hold a Ph.D. to complete their postdoctoral research training at Spanish R&#038;D centers.
