This is a semi-annual call for Letters of Intent for Strategic Research Agreements that address Breakthrough T1D\u2019s current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/explore-research\/research-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"PR\" data-uw-original-href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/explore-research\/research-strategy\/\" aria-label=\"Research Strategy - opens in a new tab\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"\">research strategy<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>This call supports individual and collaborative projects that address critical gaps and challenges in type 1 diabetes research.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Proposals may be submitted by nonprofit or public organizations. Generally, for-profit organizations will not be considered, except under special circumstances. <\/li>\n<li>Applicants must hold an MD, DMD, DVM, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree and hold a faculty position or equivalent at a college, university, medical school, company, or other research facility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">How to apply<\/h3>\n<p>The application process consists of two steps. Letters of Intent (LOIs) must be submitted through the RMS360 portal. Letters of Intent and full proposals are due by <strong>5:00 p.m. Eastern Time<\/strong> on the following deadline dates:  <\/p>\n<p>Round 1:<\/p>\n<p>Letters of Intent due November 5, 2026 (link)<\/p>\n<p>Notification by December 17, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Round 2:<\/p>\n<p>Letters of Intent are due on May 6, 2027<\/p>\n<p>Notification by<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Features &nbsp; The Breakthrough T1D organization is now accepting applications for project concepts.
