If successful, these grants could lead to further funding from other sources. These grants are among the most competitive in mental health research and demonstrate the power of investigator-initiated research to generate new and creative ideas.  <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Eligible areas include addiction, ADHD, anxiety, autism, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders, OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia, and suicide prevention.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The available funding is up to $100,000 for a one-year period.<\/p>\n<p>More information is available<a href=\"https:\/\/bbrfoundation.org\/grants-prizes\/narsad-distinguished-investigator-grants\"> at this link.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must be a full professor (or equivalent) and maintain peer-reviewed, competitively funded scientific programs.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants may not receive the award a second time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">How to apply<\/h3>\n<p>Applications must be submitted electronically through the  <a href=\"https:\/\/bbgm-apply.yourcausegrants.com\/apply\/auth\/signin\">BBRF website.  <\/a>  Deadline: Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Features The Brain &#038; Behavior Research Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2027 Distinguished Investigator (DI) Grant.
