{"id":25329,"date":"2026-03-05T12:39:40","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T10:39:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/evento\/1st-conference-on-respiratory-care-for-adults-with-cerebral-palsy\/"},"modified":"2026-03-05T12:39:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T10:39:40","slug":"1st-conference-on-respiratory-care-for-adults-with-cerebral-palsy","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/en\/evento\/1st-conference-on-respiratory-care-for-adults-with-cerebral-palsy\/","title":{"rendered":"1st Conference on Respiratory Care for Adults with Cerebral Palsy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>First Conference on Respiratory Care for Adults with Cerebral Palsy<\/strong> will be held in Salamanca on Friday, March 20, starting at 9:30 a.m., organized by <strong>ASPACE Salamanca<\/strong> in collaboration with<strong> the Salamanca Institute for Biomedical Research (IBSAL)<\/strong>, as part of the IBSAL 2024 Grant Program, specifically the call for proposals for IBSAL Research Dissemination Projects to the public and the <strong>University of Salamanca (USAL)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event can be attended in person at the <strong>Auditorium of the School of Nursing and Physical Therapy at the University of Salamanca<\/strong> (C\/ Donantes de sangre s\/n). It will begin at <strong>9:30 a.m.<\/strong> and is expected to last 3 hours. For those unable to attend in person, a link will be provided so they can join online (<a href=\"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Carta-Presentacion-jornadas-final.pdf\">see attached program<\/a>). <\/p>\n<p>The main objective of this conference is<strong> to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary perspective on the respiratory care needed by people with cerebral palsy.<\/strong> To this end<strong>,<\/strong> we will be joined by professionals in medicine, nursing, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, and music therapy who have extensive experience in caring for this population. In this way, we will take a comprehensive approach to addressing the respiratory needs of people with cerebral palsy. <\/p>\n<p>In addition, <strong>we will present the book titled<a href=\"https:\/\/eusal.es\/producto\/cuidados-respiratorios-en-personas-adultas-con-paralisis-cerebral\/\">\u201cRespiratory Care for Adults with Cerebral Palsy<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>\u201d<\/strong>recently published by \u201cEdiciones Universidad de Salamanca,\u201d which will be available free of charge to anyone interested. This book is a guide written in simple language, designed for both professionals and families who wish to learn more about this topic, and we hope it will become a useful reference for improving their intervention strategies in the respiratory care of people with cerebral palsy. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sign up using the <a href=\"http:\/\/forms.gle\/EMYBSd5x4GCodAcP8\">registration form<\/a>.
