there are two calls for proposals.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>EP BrainHealth Call 1: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brainhealth-partnership.eu\/calls\/jtc2026-neurological-mental-sensory-disorders\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.brainhealth-partnership.eu\/calls\/jtc2026-neurological-mental-sensory-disorders\/&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1767858054871000&#038;usg=AOvVaw34-w0ldtDCZCh8cOmS5j86\">Focused on Neurological, Mental, and Sensory Disorders<\/a><\/li>\n<li>EP BrainHealth Call 2: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brainhealth-partnership.eu\/calls\/jtc2026-neurodegenerative-disorders\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.brainhealth-partnership.eu\/calls\/jtc2026-neurodegenerative-disorders\/&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1767858054871000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2StSgRpB2YWMqFdPdzDoqh\">Focused on the Field of Neurodegeneration<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These calls for proposals are co-financed by the European Union and involve more than 30 countries and more than 35 funding organizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, the <strong>Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII)<\/strong> participates in these calls for proposals as the national funding agency.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Requirements<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"127\">Proposals must be interdisciplinary and address <strong data-start=\"59\" data-end=\"96\">at least two of the three factors<\/strong> listed below:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"129\" data-end=\"845\">\n<li data-start=\"129\" data-end=\"337\">\n<p data-start=\"132\" data-end=\"337\"><strong data-start=\"132\" data-end=\"155\">Biological factors<\/strong>, e.g., genetics, epigenetics, -omics, neuroplasticity, inflammation, infection, synaptogenesis, neural circuits, vascular factors, sensory impairment, comorbidities. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"339\" data-end=\"680\">\n<p data-start=\"342\" data-end=\"680\"><strong data-start=\"342\" data-end=\"383\">Lifestyle and social factors<\/strong>, e.g., exercise\/physical activity, nutrition, sleep, smoking, alcohol and drug use, work (income, employment), background\/socioeconomic status, race\/ethnicity, sex and gender, education, safety, social interactions (family\/friends), access to health care, stress, trauma, migration. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"682\" data-end=\"845\">\n<p data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"845\"><strong data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"709\">Environmental factors<\/strong>, e.g., pollution\/pollutants, urbanization, disasters, pandemics, wars\/conflicts, climate change, microbiota, nature. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"932\">In addition, applications must address <strong data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"931\">at least two of the following aspects<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"1225\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"994\">\n<p data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"994\"><strong data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"961\">Mechanisms of action<\/strong> of the identified factors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1094\">\n<p data-start=\"998\" data-end=\"1094\"><strong data-start=\"998\" data-end=\"1051\">Early detection, diagnosis, and prognosis<\/strong> are linked to the identified factors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1095\" data-end=\"1225\" data-is-last-node=\"\">\n<p data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1225\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1184\">Prevention, treatments, interventions, technological development, care, and support<\/strong> related to the identified factors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brainhealth-partnership.eu\/calls\/jtc2026-neurological-mental-sensory-disorders\/\">Call 1: Biological, social, and environmental factors that influence the trajectory of brain health across the lifespan\u2014<strong> in the field of neurological, mental, and sensory disorders<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The objective of this call for proposals is to facilitate multinational, collaborative, and interdisciplinary research that addresses critical translational issues.
