Its goal is to foster and support translational or clinical research projects focused on Alzheimer\u2019s disease and other age-related neurodegenerative diseases. The PMRP will provide up to 800,000 euros in funding for individual or collaborative research projects to be completed within a maximum of five years.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Recipients<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Principal investigators of individual research projects or coordinators of collaborative project consortia must hold a position as independent researchers at a public or nonprofit research organization in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>For collaborative research projects, the other members of the consortium (the consortium\u2019s principal investigators) may be based at public or nonprofit research organizations anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/fpmaragall.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025_PMRP_Rules_for_Participation.pdf\">\u201cRules of Participation<\/a> \u201d document for eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Procedure for Submitting a Proposal<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Applications to the PMRP are submitted through a two-step process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 1: Submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI).<\/li>\n<li>Stage 2: Submission of a complete proposal, by invitation only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The entire process of applying for, reviewing, and selecting projects will be conducted in English; therefore, all information must be submitted in this language. Applications must be submitted through the <a href=\"https:\/\/fpmaragall-grants.eu-1.smartsimple.eu\/s_Login.jsp\">online grant system<\/a>. Please read the <a href=\"https:\/\/fpmaragall.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025_PMRP_SubmissionGuidelines.pdf\">Submission Guidelines<\/a> carefully before beginning your application.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Call for Applications Schedule<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The key dates for the 2025 call for applications for the Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>September 16, 2025 &#8211; 10:00 a.m. CEST: Opening of the application system for EI registration.<\/li>\n<li>October 23, 2025 \u2013 3:00 p.m. CEST: Deadline for submitting the EI.<\/li>\n<li>February 2026: Announcement of the results of the preliminary evaluation and invitation to submit full proposals.<\/li>\n<li>April 14, 2026 \u2013 3:00 p.m. CEST: Deadline for submitting full proposals (by invitation only).<\/li>\n<li>July 2026: Notification of the results of the full proposals to the applicants.<\/li>\n<li>To be confirmed: public announcement of the results.<\/li>\n<li><em>Dates are subject to change. Applicants will be notified of any relevant changes. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Selection Process<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The review process for both the EI and the full proposals consists of three phases: administrative review, scientific review, and strategic review.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) team conducts an administrative review to ensure that only complete applications that meet all eligibility criteria are evaluated by the Evaluation Committee and the Selection Committee.<\/li>\n<li>The Evaluation Committee is composed of experts of internationally recognized standing in their respective fields. Its role is to evaluate and score the applications in accordance with the call for proposals\u2019 evaluation criteria (detailed in the document<a href=\"https:\/\/fpmaragall.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025_PMRP_Evaluation-Procedure.pdf\">\u201cEvaluation Procedure\u201d<\/a>) and to report the results of the evaluation to the Selection Committee. <\/li>\n<li>In addition to the evaluation criteria, the Selection Committee of the Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) assesses how well the proposals align with the Pasqual Maragall Foundation\u2019s strategic plan and the PMRP\u2019s priorities.
