{"id":25273,"date":"2026-01-23T11:46:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T09:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/evento\/aes-2026-contracts-to-strengthen-research-activities-in-the-national-health-system-sns-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T13:23:16","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T11:23:16","slug":"aes-2026-contracts-to-strengthen-research-activities-in-the-national-health-system-sns-2026","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/en\/evento\/aes-2026-contracts-to-strengthen-research-activities-in-the-national-health-system-sns-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"AES 2026 &#8211; Contracts to Strengthen Research Activities in the National Health System (SNS) 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Purpose<\/h3>\n<p>The purpose of this initiative is to hire medical specialists, as well as individuals with university diplomas or degrees in nursing, dentistry, or physical therapy, at publicly owned facilities to perform part of the clinical and patient care duties of professionals who are simultaneously engaged in research activities.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this initiative is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To build a critical mass of healthcare professionals who also engage in research in order to translate knowledge to patients and to generate research hypotheses based on clinical practice.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage National Health System (SNS) healthcare staff to participate in research activities.<\/li>\n<li>Promote patient- and population-oriented research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The grants awarded will be used to fund employment contracts\u2014under any type of contract in accordance with current regulations\u2014signed between the selected individual and the entity. An extension may be requested for a period of one or two years, depending on the number of years remaining for the implementation of the active project underlying the application. These grants will enable employment in 2027 and, if applicable, in 2028, for a duration equivalent to the<strong> release of 50% of the annual care workload of the staff whom the candidate will replace.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.72px;\">Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Requirements for applicants:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<p><strong>Public healthcare<\/strong> entities and institutions <strong>providing clinical care<\/strong>: hospitals, primary care centers, and other healthcare facilities not included in the preceding categories that hold a healthcare operating license issued by the competent authority.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_titulo_segundo_nivel\">Candidate requirements:<\/div>\n<div class=\"convocatoria_apartado_contenido\">\n<p>Professionals working in patient care who meet the following criteria are eligible for this program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Principal investigators of <strong>health research projects, health R&#038;D&#038;I projects, health technology development projects, independent clinical research projects, and international joint programming or international collaboration projects awarded through the<\/strong> AES\u2019s <strong>2024 or 2025 calls for proposals<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Scientists at their respective institutions who are responsible for developing projects to be directly funded by the European R&#038;D&#038;I program, <strong>Horizon Europe<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In all cases, the project must be underway in 2025 as well as in 2026 or 2027, as applicable.<\/p>\n<p>In the case of projects with two principal investigators, only one of them may apply for funding enhancement.<\/p>\n<p>Those who have been awarded an intensification contract under the AES 2024 or 2025 programs are not eligible for this initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must fall into one of the following<strong> categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Researchers born in 1981 or later (at least 20% of the grants will be awarded in this category).<\/li>\n<li>Researchers born before 1981.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.72px;\">Application<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Applications and all other required documentation must be submitted exclusively through the  <a href=\"https:\/\/sede.isciii.gob.es\/\"><strong>ISCIII&#8217;s online portal.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Applications must be submitted through electronic certificate systems.
