{"id":25130,"date":"2026-05-18T08:59:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T06:59:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/evento\/cdti-eureka-biotech-call-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T08:59:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T06:59:18","slug":"cdti-eureka-biotech-call-2026","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/en\/evento\/cdti-eureka-biotech-call-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"CDTI Eureka Biotech Call 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Features<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The CDTI and the Eureka program are launching their international call for proposals, <a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eurekanetwork.org\/programmes-and-calls\/network-projects\/biotech-call-september-2026\/\"> <b>the<\/b> Eureka <b>Biotech Call 2026<\/b><\/a>, an initiative aimed at promoting international collaborative R&#038;D projects focused on developing innovative solutions in the field of <b>biotechnology<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"agenda-details-rgt noticia\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Seventeen countries and regions are participating in the call for proposals: Austria, Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), Canada, Chile, Estonia, France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">This call for proposals represents an excellent opportunity to promote <strong>international collaborative projects with a clear market focus<\/strong> and high potential for industrial implementation in the biotechnology sector. Proposals may address a wide range of research and innovation areas related to: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Advanced Biomanufacturing and Enabling Technologies for Biotechnology Ecosystems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Next-Generation Therapies and Treatments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Agricultural and Veterinary Innovations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Advanced Diagnostics and Data-Driven Technologies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Bioinformatics, Artificial Intelligence, and Digitalization Applied to Biotechnology<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Bioprocess Technologies and Sustainable Bioindustrial Solutions<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Application areas include, among others:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Health and Medicine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Pharmaceuticals and Advanced Therapies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Industrial Biotechnology<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Agriculture and Food<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Diagnostics and Medical Devices<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Bioeconomy and Sustainability<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Digital Health and Biological Data Analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The call for proposals will feature activities and international networking tools to facilitate the identification of partners and the formation of collaborative consortia among companies, startups, universities, and technology centers interested in developing joint projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Requirements:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">This call for proposals is aimed at market-oriented R&#038;D projects involving experimental development activities and with technology readiness levels primarily ranging from TRL 5 to TRL 7. The participation of at least two independent entities from two different participating countries will be required, with companies playing a significant role within the international consortia. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The minimum budget for each company is \u20ac175,000. There is no budget limit for Spanish partners, but the budget must be commensurate with the activities to be carried out and the company\u2019s capacity. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The Spanish company (or the Spanish consortium coordinator, where applicable) must submit a formal application for funding for the international R&#038;D project through the CDTI\u2019s online portal by October 2, 2026. The application must include the Eureka Application Form (in English) and, when available, a draft of the consortium agreement. The signed consortium agreement must be submitted before the Eureka label is granted.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Once the international application has been received, CDTI will verify the eligibility of the Spanish applicants. If they are deemed eligible, CDTI will process the corresponding national funding applications for each Spanish participant. These applications must be completed and duly submitted by all Spanish partners within the deadline set by CDTI, approximately one month after the call\u2019s deadline.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Depending on the funding instrument requested, CDTI may require the submission of additional documentation in Spanish. Spanish partners who do not submit the required applications by the established deadlines may be excluded. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Funding for startups, SMEs, and large companies covers up to 85% of the project&#8217;s eligible costs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">IBSAL (a research center) and universities are participating as subcontractors in the project.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">How to apply<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The deadline for submitting applications is
