Purpose and Scope<\/span><\/h3>\n

This Call<\/a> for Proposals supports research as a means of deepening our understanding and improving the quality of life for the people who make up our society.<\/p>\n

Through the Ignacio H. de Larramendi Research Grants, Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE supports projects carried out by individual<\/strong> researchers or research teams<\/strong> in academic and professional settings, whether they conduct their work independently or within the framework of universities, hospitals, companies, or research centers with which they are affiliated, and whose research topic<\/strong> is related tohealth promotion<\/strong> orinsurance and social welfare. <\/strong> <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Funding <\/span><\/h3>\n

The maximum gross amount for each grant will be as follows:
\n\u2014 Health Promotion: 30,000 euros.<\/strong>
\n\u2014 Insurance and Social Security: 15,000 euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The grant amount will be disbursed during the course of the research as follows:
\n\u2014 20% upon signing the grant acceptance protocol,
\n\u2014 60% distributed in two payments of 30% of the total each, to be made at the end of the fourth and eighth months following the signing of said agreement, respectively,
\n\u2014 And the remaining 20%, upon submission of the final report, the financial report, and a two- to four-page summary of the work.<\/p>\n

Duration of the assistance<\/span><\/h3>\n

The grant period will be one calendar year<\/strong> from the date of its acceptance and formalization in the corresponding document (Acceptance Protocol), which is accepted and agreed to upon submission of the application.<\/p>\n

Project Themes<\/span><\/h3>\n

The thematic areas that research projects should address are as follows:<\/p>\n

Health Promotion<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 Strategies and education for changing habits: obesity prevention, promotion of physical activity, and emotional well-being (including the appropriate use of new technologies).
\n\u2014 Training in emergency procedures for the general public.
\n\u2014 Assessment of bodily injury: evaluation of the consequences of an event (traumatic or accidental, medical malpractice, assault, or illness) on an individual\u2019s health and the impact it will have on essential activities of daily living and other specific activities related to personal development (emotional distress, loss of quality of life).
\n\u2014 Healthcare management: quality and clinical safety.
\n\u2014 Longevity and the Influence of Lifestyles.<\/p>\n

Insurance and Social Security<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 Insurance.
\n\u2014 Risk Management: Emerging Risks.
\n\u2014 New technologies in the insurance industry.
\n\u2014 Social Security: pensions, savings, investment, asset liquidation, and the senior economy (economics of longevity).<\/p>\n

Submission of Applications<\/span><\/h3>\n

To be eligible for funding, interested principal investigators must visit the website www.fundacionmapfre.org\/ayudas2025<\/a> to submit their application online within the deadline specified in the call for proposals guidelines, and must attach the following documentation:
\n1. Professional curriculum vitae<\/strong> of the principal investigator and, where applicable, of the other members of the research team. The maximum length of the curriculum vitae is
\nfive pages per team member.
\n2. A detailed description<\/strong> of the research project, which must be original and unpublished, using the template available at www.fundacionmapfre.org\/ayudas2025.<\/a> The document should be 8 to 12 pages long and formatted in 12-point Arial font. <\/p>\n

The proposal must include the following sections:
\n– Project Summary – Abstract (10 lines).
\n– Project Objectives and Justification.
\n– Research Methodology.
\n– Experience and Qualifications of the Principal Investigator and other members of the research team, if applicable.
\n– Detailed budget and timeline. The budget submitted must include all applicable expenses and costs, expressly including any fees or charges that may be required by the institution to which the principal investigator belongs, if applicable. <\/p>\n

Application Deadline<\/span><\/h3>\n

The period for applying and submitting documentation online to apply for these grants begins on June 20<\/strong> and ends on October 20, 2025<\/strong> (until 11:59 p.m., Spanish time, UTC+2).<\/p>\n
