{"id":24781,"date":"2025-10-20T06:48:38","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T04:48:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/evento\/pasqual-maragall-research-program\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T06:48:38","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T04:48:38","slug":"pasqual-maragall-research-program","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/ibsal.es\/en\/evento\/pasqual-maragall-research-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Pasqual Maragall Research Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Objectives<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The objectives of <a href=\"https:\/\/fpmaragall.org\/pasqual-maragall-researchers-programme\/\">the Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program<\/a> (PMRP) are to promote and support translational or clinical research projects on Alzheimer&#8217;s disease or other age-related neurodegenerative diseases.<\/p>\n<p>The PMRP will provide funding of up to 800,000 \u20ac for individual or collaborative research projects to be carried out over a maximum period of five years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Recipients<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">Principal investigators of individual research projects or coordinators of collaborative project consortia must hold a position as independent researchers at a public or nonprofit research organization in Spain.<\/p>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">In the case of collaborative research projects, the other members of the consortium (principal investigators in the consortium) may be affiliated with public or nonprofit research organizations anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">Please refer to the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/fpmaragall.org\/PMRP-Rules-for-participation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">Rules for Participation<\/a>&#8221; document for the eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Application Process<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">The application process for grants from the Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) consists of two phases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">Phase 1: Submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI).<\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">Phase 2: Submission of a complete proposal, by invitation only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">The entire project application, review, and selection process will be conducted in English; therefore, all information must be submitted in this language. Applications must be submitted via <a href=\"https:\/\/fpmaragall-grants.eu-1.smartsimple.eu\/s_Login.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">this link<\/a>. Please read the <a href=\"http:\/\/fpmaragall.org\/PMRP-Submission-Guidelines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">Application Guidelines<\/a> carefully before beginning your application.  <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Call for Applications Schedule<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">The key dates for the 2025 call for applications for the Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">September 16, 2025 &#8211; 10:00 a.m. CEST: Opening of the application system for EI registration.<\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">October 23, 2025 \u2013 3:00 p.m. CEST: Deadline for submitting the EI.<\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">February 2026: Announcement of the results of the preliminary evaluation and invitation to submit full proposals.<\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">April 14, 2026 \u2013 3:00 p.m. CEST: Deadline for submitting full proposals (by invitation only).<\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">July 2026: Notification of the results of the full proposals to the applicants.<\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">To be confirmed: public announcement of the results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">*Dates are subject to change. Applicants will be notified of any relevant changes. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #003c8c;\"><span style=\"color: #003c8c;\">Selection Process<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">The review process for both the EI and the full proposals consists of three phases: administrative review, scientific review, and strategic review.<\/p>\n<ol data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">The Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) team conducts an administrative review to ensure that only complete applications that meet all eligibility criteria are evaluated by the Evaluation Committee and the Selection Committee.<\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">The Evaluation Committee is composed of experts of internationally recognized standing in their respective fields. Its role is to evaluate and score the applications in accordance with the call for proposals\u2019 evaluation criteria (detailed in the document<a href=\"http:\/\/fpmaragall.org\/PMRP-Evaluation-procedure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">\u201cEvaluation Procedure\u201d<\/a>) and to report the results of the evaluation to the Selection Committee. <\/li>\n<li data-asw-org-font-size=\"20\">In addition to the evaluation criteria, the Selection Committee of the Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) assesses how well the proposals align with the Pasqual Maragall Foundation\u2019s strategic plan and the PMRP\u2019s priorities.
