SUMMARY:Recruitment of staff to boost research activity\, and awarding of grants to centers under the Regional Health Authority (2025)
DESCRIPTION:Purpose\nTo establish the selection procedure for candidates seeking to intensify their research activities among staff engaged in research and patient care at the Castilla y León Regional Health Authority\, as well as the granting of financial assistance to the centers where they work\, for the hiring of professionals to partially replace them in their clinical duties during the year 2025\, with the aim of promoting research at facilities under the Regional Health Authority and encouraging healthcare staff to devote time to research activities. \n  \nDeadline and Submission Procedure\nThe deadline for submitting applications will be 10 BUSINESS DAYS starting on the day after the resolution is published in the Official Gazette of Castile and León—specifically\, from August 27\, 2025\, through September 10\, 2025. \nApplications will be processed electronically on the ELECTRONIC PORTAL of Castile and León. \n  \nRequirements\nApplicants for the intensification program must meet the following requirements:  \n\nBe a healthcare professional with a proven track record in scientific research.\nBe employed by the healthcare facilities under the jurisdiction of the Castilla y León Regional Health Authority.\nBe a principal investigator or collaborating researcher in any field of the health sciences for at least one active research project during the intensification period\, funded by the National R&D&I Plan\, the Horizon Europe Program\, or the Regional Government of Castile and León; or be a member of the Biomedical Research Network (CIBER) or one of the Thematic Networks for Cooperative Health Research (RETIC).\n\n  \nIMPORTANT: \nCandidates who have already participated in the program during 2024 will be excluded from this call for applications. Likewise\, applicants who were selected in the 2023 intensification call but have not submitted\, by the deadline for this call\, a report on the activities carried out and the results obtained will be excluded.  \n  \nAmount of the aid\n— A subsidy of €18\,000 is established for each person holding a specialist physician position\, and €11\,000 for each diploma holder or graduate with advanced training\, which corresponds to being relieved of half of their work hours dedicated to patient care. \n– The budgeted amount will be used to hire staff to take over the care duties currently performed by the professionals working extended hours. \n– The spending center will manage the contracts of the staff providing care services and will collaborate with the Regional Health Administration in monitoring and overseeing these contracts. \n  \nRequired Documentation\nApplication\, using the standard form in Annex I\, addressed to the Honorable President of the Regional Health Authority\, accompanied by the following documentation:\n— A curriculum vitae in accordance with Annex II or the CVN template of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (http://www.cvn.fecyt.es) that contains\, at a minimum\, the information listed in Annex II.\n— A statement of compliance from the person in charge of the healthcare facility where the principal investigator works\, along with the request for increased research time submitted by the principal investigator\, as set forth in Annex III.\n— A report on the institution’s clinical care and research activities\, as well as any other aspects deemed relevant to the evaluation process\, in accordance with the template provided in Annex IV. \n  \nDecision Deadline\nThe maximum period for making a decision on the call for proposals and publishing it will be 3 MONTHS\, counted from the day following the deadline for submitting applications. The decision will be published in the “Official Gazette of Castile and León” and will be posted on the Castile and León Health Research and Innovation Portal.  \n  \n  \n
