SUMMARY:MARI PAZ JIMENEZ CASADO FOUNDATION. Support for Sarcoma Research 2025
DESCRIPTION:Features\nThe Mari Paz Jiménez Casado Foundation\, in collaboration with the Spanish Sarcoma Research Group (GEIS)\, is launching the Sarcoma Research Grant to fund an original research project that will advance our understanding of sarcomas and lead to improved diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. \nThe research project must focus on the field of sarcomas and may be epidemiological\, translational\, or preclinical in nature\, addressing questions of interest that could lead to easy translation into clinical practice and result in improved survival or quality of life for patients with sarcoma. \nSpecial support will be provided for studies involving collaboration among several hospitals in the group\, with the aim of maximizing the synergistic potential of the research. \n  \nRequirements:\nPI requirements:\n\n\nHold a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (although a doctoral degree is considered a plus)\, with a specialization in one of the following medical fields: Medical Oncology\, Radiation Oncology\, Pathology\, Orthopedic Surgery\, Plastic Surgery\, Thoracic Surgery\, General Surgery\, and other medical specialties related to sarcomas. Graduates with degrees in Biology\, Biochemistry\, or Pharmacy may also apply for these fellowships. \nApplicants must be affiliated with a healthcare or research institution capable of carrying out the proposed scientific project.\nBecome a GEIS Member.\nExclusive dedication to the proposed research project is not required.\n\n  \n\nIncompatibilities:\n\nThe project may be co-funded by other grants and/or research projects.\nEach researcher may submit only one project\, whether as principal investigator or co-investigator.\nThis grant may be combined with other grants or financial aid\, whether public or private\, provided that the FMPJC and the GEIS do not consider the project to be already sufficiently funded.\nThe principal investigator/coordinator of a project that has been awarded an FMPJC Triennial Grant may not apply as principal investigator/coordinator for a new round of this Triennial Grant until three years have elapsed since the application for the previously awarded Triennial Grant.\n\n  \nHow to apply\n\nApplication Form.\nProject Title and Abstract (maximum 1 page)\, in English and Spanish.\nProject proposal in English and Spanish (maximum 5 pages) with the following sections\nA photocopy of the Principal Investigator’s national ID card and specialist certification or other applicable certification.\nCurriculum Vitae of the Principal Investigator.\nThe Research Group’s Experience Over the Past 5 Years.\nDescription of the research center selected to carry out the project and the technical facilities available.\nA copy of the terms and conditions of this call for proposals\, bearing the signature of the principal investigator and the head of the health research center or institute where the project will be carried out.\n\n  \nApplications to participate in this call for proposals must be submitted by email to: secretaria@grupogeis.org.
