SUMMARY:Call for I+P Projects - Scientific research projects aimed at improving public policy design - MICIU
DESCRIPTION:Purpose\nThe R&I Project Call seeks to fund projects that promote research and innovation\, as well as scientific advice in public administration\, using scientific evidence to develop more effective policies. \n  \nDescription\nA collaborative public administration can exchange knowledge with the requesting entity on a project that helps explore and better understand an issue that public policy seeks to address. This project would serve to update the assessment of the context of a public policy\, through\, for example\, foresight exercises or technology assessments. \nThe project may also aim to have the collaborating public administration review the rationale behind the intervention and its theory of change\, the objectives of the public policy\, or the selection of its instruments—for example\, through data mining and analysis. This data may be administrative data: the collaborating government agency may have data that it needs to organize\, analyze\, and integrate into a conceptual framework to guide the design of its public policies. Quasi-experimental methods\, for example\, may also be used to review the planning process. \n  \nBeneficiaries\nResearch organizations\, universities\, healthcare institutions\, technology centers\, R&D centers\, and other entities that promote the transfer of R&D. To participate\, projects must be supported by a letter from a public administration committing to collaborate on the project. \n  \nScope of Assistance and Duration\nThe assistance covers\, among other things\, items such as: \n\nPersonnel costs for staff hired specifically for the project.\nTravel and per diem expenses.\nProcurement of equipment and supplies.\nConsulting\, advisory services\, data collection\, development of training programs\, project evaluation\, dissemination\, and publicity.\nRoom rentals\, conference planning\, events…\n\nGrants of up to 90% of the total project cost are available\, with a maximum limit of €100\,000 and a total estimated budget of three million euros. The project duration is a maximum of 24 months. \n  \nDeadlines\nThe application period will begin on July 1\, 2026\, and end on October 1\, 2026\, at 1:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). \n  \nSubmission of Applications\nApplications must be submitted through the online application system available at the call for proposals’ website. Project leaders and the legal representatives of the applicant organizations must first register in the call for proposals’ Applicant Registration module and complete the corresponding application form. \nApplications must include a letter of support from the government agency responsible for the public policy whose design is to be improved. \n  \nCALL FOR SUBMISSIONS WEBSITE
